HOW BOBBEX WORKS | |
BOBBEX repels through both odor and taste by using meat meal, fish oil, putrescent eggs, garlic and other naturally occurring ingredients to deter deer from browsing. In the springtime BOBBEX Products reduce stress brought on by late spring temperature dips. Note: All instructions, tips, spray schedules and ratios also apply to BOBBEX-R
Spray BOBBEX on all parts of the plant including leaves, stems, and flowers. For BOBBEX Concentrates:
In Spring & Summer (Fast Growth Times): Dilute 1 part BOBBEX to 8 parts water. In Late Fall & Winter (Dormant times): Dilute 1 part BOBBEX to 5 parts water. BOBBEX should be sprayed between 35° and 85° Fahrenheit. In the winter, cold weather, blustery winds, and frozen soils reduce a plants ability to absorb moisture needed to maintain vitality. BOBBEX provides retention of moisture in the plantings through periods of frigid winter weather, in addition to deer deterrence. It will also reduce damage from a late spring or early fall frost

When spraying concentrated BOBBEX, the most efficient method of applying the product is a pressurized spray pump. Click here to view a picture of a pressurized pump sprayer. Ask your local garden center or hardware store, most carry several sizes and are relatively inexpensive. These sprayers come in ½ gallon, 1, 2, or 3 gallon containers.

Before spraying, make sure the plants are dry. BOBBEX will not stick well to wet surfaces. Also BOBBEX will require 5 to 6 hours of drying time to adequately adhere to plant surfaces. Begin spraying in the spring when the plants are approximately ½ inch out of the ground. During this period of rapid growth, spray the entire plant every 7 to 14 days or, for every 3 to 5 inches of new growth, particularly buds and flowers. BOBBEX can be used year round.

When applying BOBBEX, spray plant or section of the plant until the BOBBEX first drips off the leaves. When the first drip appears, move to the next section or plant. Plants should be wet but not soaking. BOBBEX will leave a strong odor for about 24 Hours. After this time the odor will be detectable only by deer. Dilute only the amount of BOBBEX you intend to spray. Diluted mixture should be used within 5 days. Rinse tank with a mild soapy water solution and spray through the hose. Store the unused portions of BOBBEX in a cool dry place. If BOBBEX PRODUCTS freeze they can be used upon thawing.

Using BOBBEX-R as a bulb protector will give your bulb a chance to survive through the winter from burrowing herbivores and deer. Voles use their keen sense of smell to find roots and bulbs underground. BOBBEX-R creates a physical aromatic barrier around the bulb and prevents these animals from discovering the bulb. In addition to creating a natural scent barrier, BOBBEX-R also leaves trace elements and nutrients beneficial to the bulb when it grows in the spring.
Bulb Dip Instructions 1. Remove all loose and dried plant tissue 2. Dip bulbs in straight concentrated BOBBEX-R (right out of the bottle). Allow bulbs to soak for 3 to 5 minutes 3. Remove bulbs from concentrate and allow them to air dry. This protective coating also slowly breaks down to provide nutrients for the growing plant

These are identified below: Fruit (flowering) bearing Vegetables: i.e. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squash, Apples, Pumpkins, etc... Spray BOBBEX liberally (as specified above) through the flowering stage.
